Black Butler (黒執事 Kuroshitsuji) is an ongoing manga written and drawn by Toboso Yana: its debut was long ago on 2006, 16 September but Italian publication started only on June 2011.

The story deals with the adventures of Ciel Phantomhive, a twelve-year-old boy, who happens to be the head of a noble family and Sebastian Michaelis, his butler. But beware of appearence: Sebastian in more than a mere butler! He's a demon who's taken the form of a servant to help his lord, Ciel, obliged by the Faustian contract between the two of them. What made Ciel sell his soul to a demon? An incident, happend many years ago: Ciel's parents were killed and he was kidnapped; it was Sebastiam who saved him at the cost of Ciel soul. Now Sebastian must serve Ciel and help him to avenge the lost hohour of his family. What really happend that night? Why were his parents killed and who ordered it? The truth may be linked to the role of Queen's Watchdogs the Phantomhives have taken for ages: the underworld the Phantomhives have menaged all this time for the Crown and the misterious supernatural cases they have been oredered by the Queen to resolve by any mean are responsible for the happenings...? On this trail starts Ciel's investigation, who dips himself in the same dark word of his parents.

Between missions and adventure, friends and foes, runs the path of the story of the young Earl Phantomhive, full of dark secrets, unbeleavable magics and dirty duties to fulfill. In the Victorian Age England, between teas and high-society masked balls, trip in the suburbs of east-end of London and strange people you'll find a new world ready to catch your attention and conquer your love.

From manga had been produced: two animes, the former Season one, with 24 episodes, the latter Season two with 12, two musicals, two drama CDs and a videogame for Nintendo DS.
